The Tees Valley Production Technician Studentship (TVPT) is a new programme aimed at equipping talented young people with the essential skills required to contribute to the ongoing success of the process industry. Combining practical and technical training in process technology with engineering, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation skills, the programme provides a stepping stone to a challenging and interesting career.

The course runs for four years, is sponsored from day one (apprentices receive an attractive remuneration package) and offers high rewards; graduates enjoy excellent career prospects, often earning salaries well above the national average. The first two years of the programme are based at TTE Management & Technical Training and the remaining years in the workplace on day release. Whilst the programme is continually evolving to meet new standards, those who are highly motivated with a real ‘can do’ approach can expect to achieve a range of qualifications including;

• City & Guilds 0603 Process Technology (Chemical)
• NVQ Level 3 in Process Plant Operations
• HNC or potentially the first year or a Foundation Degree at the University of Teesside
