Competitive Salaries

One of the key areas the partnership process has worked on over a number of years is the creation of a competitive salary structure. Salaries are reviewed annually and compared across the market place by independent specialists every two years to maintain market positioning.

Performance Related Bonus and Pay

As part of the annual performance review and recognition processes employees can receive an annual bonus which recognises the achievements and contribution of the individual. Employees also have the opportunity to receive up to 10% of their salary as a variable allowance through these processes.

In addition to this the company offers an annual bonus scheme which is open to all employees and is linked to company performance. New employees may be eligible for a proportionate bonus in their initial year, dependent upon their start date with the company. However, we do reserve the right to review the scheme.

Pension Scheme

Membership of our stakeholder pension scheme represents an excellent opportunity for you to plan for your retirement. The company makes significant contributions on your behalf in return for a minimum member contribution of 2½% of your annual salary.

Contributions to the scheme attract tax relief and are therefore a very cost effective method of planning for your future.

Private Medical Insurance

All Sembcorp employees are eligible to join our private medical insurance scheme. Members have the option of including partners/spouses and dependent children with the company meeting the cost. Unfortunately, this is a taxable benefit; however, it still represents an excellent employee benefit at a significantly reduced cost to the employee.

Holiday Entitlement and Flexible Working

We provide our employees with 25 days holiday entitlement and in addition, in each full calendar year, you will be eligible for 9 declared holidays (8 public days plus one additional day granted by the Company).

Some employees can also benefit from our flexible working arrangements which allow up to 10 additional flexible days may be taken during any calendar year. Eligibility for this arrangement will depend on the type of role and local working arrangements with the department.

Loyalty Award

We believe it is important to recognise the contribution of our employees and the loyal service they have given to the company. As such we operate a scheme which allows our employees to receive a gift of their choice, chosen from a wide and varied brochure, with service recognised from 5 years.

Employee Assistance Programme

We offer all our employees and their immediate family an Employee Assistance Programme which consists of a 24 hour a day, 7 days per week, telephone operating service. The service is confidential and impartial and is provided by an external source. Its aim is to provide specialist information and advice on a wide range of issues and is available whenever and wherever you need it.

Extras

In addition, you can take advantage of free parking for all employees, reduced membership at an on-site gym, and many subsidized events occurring throughout the year organized by the company recreational committee.
